Genetics and Evolution

The Plant Kingdom reads as a single story: how plants left the water. Algae are still tied to it, bryophytes need it to reproduce, pteridophytes gain vascular tissue, gymnosperms free the seed from water entirely, and angiosperms add the flower and double fertilisation. Each step trades dependence on water for something new.

Biomolecules
Biomolecules is a chapter of names and numbers, so it rewards organised revision far more than long reading. Everything a cell is made of falls into four families: carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids and lipids, plus the enzymes that run the reactions between them. Learn them grouped, because that is how NEET asks about them.

Principles of Inheritance and Variation
Every ratio in this chapter comes from one idea: alleles separate during gamete formation, then recombine at random at fertilisation. The 3:1 and 9:3:3:1 follow directly. When a ratio departs from those, something specific has interfered, and naming that interference is usually the whole question.

Structural Organisation in Animals
This is a small chapter that gives away marks if you have met the exact line before. Animal tissues carry about half the questions on their own, split across epithelial, connective, muscular and neural. The frog and the cockroach account for most of the rest, and both are asked as recall of specific structures rather than reasoning.
